Pastors Gary and Janis Collette - Lead Pastor/Ministries Facilitator & Women's Pastor

Pastor Gary and his wife Janis are the founding pastors of Bread of Life Church.  Pastor Gary, born and raised in South Gardner, considers it a privilege to be called by God to shepherd and lead God’s people so close to his home town. Yet, the thought of spending his life in this area was not always the desire of his heart. Like many young people, following his High School Graduation in 1980, he was determined that he was “outta here” as he jokingly reminds us on occasion. There was more in this life that he hungered for and he was willing to venture out to find it. He would soon join the Coast Guard, move to Florida for a few years and eventually begin studying for a degree in accounting. After discovering that the emptiness he felt inside wasn’t being satisfied by career, drinking, drugs or anything this world could offer, he returned home in 1985 to find what he had been looking for all along. Pastor Gary would meet the Lord Jesus Christ and submit his life to Him at Fitchburg Assembly of God in 1987. He would soon receive the call of God to pursue education for the ministry that would lead him to Zion Bible Institute. It was there that he would meet his wife and partner in ministry, Janis. He also met the person of the Holy Spirit and received the calling and anointing to serve the Body of Christ as a Pastor.   Besides serving as Lead Pastor at Bread of Life, Pastor Gary also serves on the Board of Trustees at Zion Bible College in Haverhill and as Presbyter of the Central MA Section of the Southern New England District of the Assemblies of God.

Pastor Janis, who serves alongside her husband’s leadership as the pastor’s wife, is also an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God. Her gifting in teaching, exhortation, and leadership are utilized as she serves as Women’s Pastor and Ministries Facilitator at Bread of Life. Janis, originally from Queens, New York, also found herself searching to fill the emptiness in her heart through self destructive behavior and addictions. In 1986 she would meet her Deliverer and the Lover of Her Soul, Jesus Christ. After being gloriously filled with the Holy Spirit, she too was led to study further at Zion Bible Institute and graduated in 1991. Pastor Gary and Janis are also the very proud parents of an awesome 14 year old named Lucas!

Pastor Billy and Renee Greene - Youth Pastors & Music Ministries Director

Pastor Billy and Renee Greene serve as Youth Pastors here at Bread of Life Church. Pastor Billy was born in Exeter, New Hampshire and raised in Dexter, ME. He had no church background and was a lost teenager, unsure of who he was and where he was going. At 16, Pastor Billy found his purpose and his identity on July 4th, 2004. This was the day that Jesus Christ became the Lord of his life, in Charleston Pentecostal Church in the “big” town of Charleston, ME. Pastor Billy received the call of God on his life soon after. In the years to come Billy completed three years of Biblical and ministerial training at Faith School of Theology located in Charleston ME, where he also met his wife while on a ministry trip in Baltimore, Maryland.

Renee was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. She grew up in a Christian home and attended Eastern Assembly of God until she moved to Charleston, ME to go to college at Faith School of Theology. At the age of seven, Renee gave her life to Jesus in a Kid’s Church service on a Sunday morning. When she was fifteen years old, her youth pastor gave her the opportunity to lead worship at her youth group. That same year, on a mission trip to Honduras, Renee received the call of God on her life.

Pastor Billy and Renee got married August 8, 2009 and that same summer headed for Haverhill, Massachusetts where they attended Zion Bible College and received their BA’s of Art and Bible. They are officially on board as our full-time youth pastors May 1st, 2010.

Pastor Billy and Renee have a burden and brokenness for this generation of students, to see them set free, set apart and on fire for the glory of God. To see students develop a personal authentic relationship with Jesus Christ.
